Dr. Ramnath K. Chellappa is a Professor of Information Systems & Operations Management at the Goizueta Business SchoolEmory University. He is the Founding Program Dean of Goizueta’s Master of Science in Business Analytics degree and currently serves as its Academic Director. He was also a Goizueta Term Chair Professor and a Caldwell Research Fellow at Emory. In addition, he is a Visiting Professor at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad where he was also a SRITNE Fellow.

Professor Chellappa was formerly a faculty member at the Marshall School of BusinessUniversity of Southern California, and also served as the founding Director of ebizlab (Electronic Economy Research Lab).  He was previously affiliated with the Center for Telecom Management at USC and the Center for Research in Electronic Commerce (formerly known as CISM) at the University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Chellappa received his PhD in Management (Information, Risk, and Operations Management) from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.  He has a bachelors in Mining Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi, India and studied for his masters in Petroleum Engineering at the Cockrell School of Engineering, University of Texas, Austin.

He has previously as worked as a Unix and networks administrator.
